Introduction to citrus processing line

Washing and sorting of citrus processing line

Fresh fruit is placed in the cleaning machine of the citrus processing line, and the surface of the fruit is cleaned by immersion in water and with the help of the spray system. Then wash the fruit with clean water on the elevator, and then carry out the subsequent sorting operation.

In order to ensure the best quality of the final product, rotten and immature fruits must be discarded. Our universal sorting line equipment can effectively check the fruits and let them rotate slowly on the roller belt conveyor under the sight of the operator.

If essential oil must be extracted from the peel, it is recommended to intensively clean the fruit with a brush immediately after the sorting operation.

Extraction of essential oil from citrus processing line

In order to extract essential oil from the whole citrus fruit, we designed a special essential oil extraction equipment, which scrapes the peel through a rotating drum. We have optimized the speed and capacity of the citrus processing line for different hours.

Juice extraction of citrus processing line

We offer two different types of industrial citrus Juicers, one is most suitable for producing high-quality fresh juice and the other is most suitable for producing concentrated juice.

The most preferred juicer for producing high-quality fruit juice is the half cutting Juicer equipment. In order to minimize the contact between pulp and peel, the machine presses each fruit between two cups and extrudes the pulp from the small hole perforated at the bottom. The same machine refines the pulp from the fruit to remove the seeds and reduce their high fiber content. This device can process 15000 fruits per hour and is suitable for oranges, grapefruits, lemons and almost any kind of citrus.

On the other hand, our drum juicer is most suitable for the production of concentrated fruit juice. It can process any kind of citrus fruit without grading (calibration) and has very high productivity. In order to prevent the essential oil (and any chemicals that may be absorbed) contained in the peel from entering the juice, it is strongly recommended to scrape the peel thoroughly with citric acid before feeding the peel with citric acid.

Juice refining of citrus processing line

Citrus juice from the juicer can be peeled to meet customers' requirements for pulp content. Our spiral desilter is specially designed to extract citrus juice. They extract high fruit juice from the juicer, gradually squeeze the pulp and output low fruit juice.

Heat treatment and filling of fruit juice in citrus processing line

Citrus juice, natural or concentrated, can be sterilized or pasteurized by tubular heat exchanger or plate heat exchanger according to the specific requirements of the application.

After sterilization, the products can be put into sterile bags, barrels or boxes. We have our own sterile packing system for handling this system.

If you produce orange juice, transcendental decanter centrifuges are ideal for removing pulp after extraction, while transcendental disk pile centrifuges of different types and sizes are widely used to clarify or recover the pulp of cloudy juice.

In addition to fruit juice, citrus can also be processed into fruit base materials used in the production of jam and yogurt and bakery.

Pasteurized orange juice production line

High quality (non concentrated) pasteurized orange juice can be produced in small processing plants with low investment cost. In order to reduce the pulp content in fruit juice, you can choose to add desliming agent to the processing line. In order to further prolong the shelf life of fruit juice, you can choose to add desliming agent. An essential oil extractor can also be added upstream of the juicer. The same plants can be used to process grapefruit, orange, lemon and almost any kind of citrus.

Concentrated orange juice production plant

Concentration can greatly reduce the storage and transportation costs of fruit juice. Concentrated orange juice is sold directly to frozen or unfrozen consumers, or stored and transported in boxes or drums (frozen or unfrozen), and then rehydrated on the reconstituted production line before retail.
